EARTH DAY – out of her womb we came…
In her womb we were conceived,
In her womb we formed,
In her womb we developed,
Gifted with life we were born.
Out of her womb we came,
Havoc we made of her home,
The womb should bare life,
But when we have no respect for living,
Will it be sucking the dead alone?
Walk softly on her belly,
Always careful of her perfect form,
Love her for all that she gives us,
Nourish her, respect her, take care of her,
Healthy new brothers and sisters to be born.
Into her womb we shall return…
great photo, provocative and splendid!

We have so abused our Earth Mother and yet we are still her children….. with much to learn… She will teach us still much more in the years to come..
Happy Earth Day π Loved your poem.. ~Sue
I know… I rarely feel sad but I felt a bit sad today… Then I read this βYou canβt see the future with tears in your eyes.β (Native American proverb) And I smiled π
