Anna’s Home

Home

Somewhere far I know is my home.
The blinding light won’t let me see it.
I can still smell the lovely dinner
I once loved sharing with them.

 Many years have gone by
Like in an instant they flow in front of my eyes.
Many are beautiful memories of warm summers,
and some are just blurry visions in my mind.

I love life and life loves me,
I wash in its oceans innocent and free.
The waters don’t scare me,
Their clear deep blues are tears in my eyes.

Come over me and wash my heart,
Of all the sorrows I have ever felt.
Forgive my youthful blindness,
Forgive all my mistakes.

I come to you Dear Father.
Missed so much in moments untrue.
I loved you always and always will.
Just like the sun loves the wild winds.

I missed you Mother, your beautiful eyes.
I remember you bent over me and your smile.
Come to me, take my hand, take me with you.
Lets walk together on the rainbow bridge.

The rainbow colors are bright yet I can see.
I can see my home and it’s not far.
There I am happy, there I am me,
Take me with you, I yearn to be free.
