The fire in her eyes

fire in her eyes

I remember seeing a picture
And thought
How beautiful you are.
I remember noticing
the fire in your eyes.

When I met you
for the first time
I felt knots in my belly
Tightness in my balls.

I wanted to know you
And I was afraid
to find out just
how related we are.

I could listen to you
Talk for hours
With a blissful smile
And a happy heart.
You made life and
people look beautiful.
In peace and quiet
I layed on the green grass
With you
daydreaming,
looking at the blue skies.

I loved you in that
moment and
nothing else mattered.
It didn’t matter
that you had no
fire in your eyes
and that you were not…

I wanted to offer you
a world of magic.
Show you that anything
is possible.
But you wouldn’t listen.
Stuck in your own world
You were afraid of me.
I wanted you to be afraid.
And I wanted you to love me.
The imperfect
Me.

I took you to
magnificiant places.
With breathtaking views
and thick forests.
Hoping you would love me.
But you were just afraid.

I still took you further,
The landscapes changed.
I took you to some
cold, icy, slippery and
shaky grounds.
Laughing
at your insecurities
Every step of the way.
You clinged on to me
And I hated you.

I wanted you to hurt me.
And you did
The first time I turned my
back on you.
You stabbed me with
a prickly finger.
I was tricked
by the feeling of
an outworldly pleasure
that I didn’t know before.

We were friends again.
I thought
I loved you
But I let you go.
Our roads went
separate ways.
We both knew
I would come back
for you
A changed man.

And I did.
I did change.
And I came back
to love you one
last time
And break your heart
forever
For stabbing me
deep
For hurting my ego
For taking
my masculinity from me
For robbing me
of my soul.

But I knew better.
I am a better man.
I’m whole
and entire without you.
And you are
beautiful and happy
without me.

  1. that’s an interesting one. Don’t even know what to think about it. Love, hate, pain but at the end, it all sorted itself out. The Universe does have it’s funny way to make things happen in the most unique ways..

    • 🙂 It didn’t sort itself out, He sorted things out on his way to ‘becoming a better man’. This poem is dedicated to a courageous client who completed an important milestone on his journey. I love offering soul gifts to my clients 🙂
Most of my artwork on the blog, be it photography, paintings or poems are gifts to my clients or myself, and are inspired by authentic spiritual journeys… xox

    • You are so right! Yet moving forward is sooo difficult for many of us. And moving forward with grace even more so… Healing the pastwounds, stepping off the victim/perpetrator/rescuer triangle, moving on from power struggle, stoping oneself from wanting revenge, offering true forgiveness to oneself and others, and being able to see beauty in what seems uggly, are all graceful ways of moving forward. And ways to stepping into one’s authentic personal power.
Shamanic ways offer us a possibility to revisit and change the energetics of our past relationships and past experiences, transforming the places of wounding into the places of power. And each individual victory is at the same time a collective victory.
This is why I love to celebrate each of my client’s victories 🙂 xox

    • I know… You felt that ha? Intense…
This is how I sometimes feel after working w clients… And expressing things in a soulful and respectful way helps me both release and honor what we are all going through sometimes xox

  2. I absolutely love this poem. Reminds me of the Pluto Venus transit that is dissipating now. I just read in your comments that most of your art here is inspired by or for your clients. This inspires me to re-read some posts in a new way….

    in truth and love,
    Linda

    • Thanks Linda for liking the poem and your related insight into astrology – I admit I do not know much…
Ah yes, I do not fully take credit for my art, especially poems, as they are channeled through most of the time. I am just blessed to have a gift of strong spiritual connection to my clients, nature and other realms. And I have learnt to stay out of the way 🙂
But yes, most of it is inspired by my client work and sometimes my own inner workings… xox

  3. And I did.
    I did change.
    And I came back
    to love you one
    last time
    And break your heart
    forever
    For stabbing me
    deep
    For hurting my ego
    For taking
    my masculinity from me
    For robbing me
    of my soul.

Boy can I relate to that…..Beautiful poem.
